This Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) is a long term insurance policy which provides you the customer with valuable protection in the unlikely event that Peter Trotter should cease trading or be unable to satisfy any guarantee claims. We provide this valuable service at no cost to you.

What's covered?

The Insurance Backed Guarantee covers customers in the event that Peter Trotter ceases to trade for reasons such as liquidation, receivership, administration or the winding up of the business owing to bankruptcy, state retirement or death of the principal(s). If a fault is discovered in the original works after any of these events then the customer may initiate a claim.

The customer would be asked to complete a simple claim form and a report would be prepared by another contractor, which determines the cause of the problem as well as the cost of repair. If the fault falls under the terms of the Peter Trotter written guarantee, then the Insurance Backed Guarantee would meet the reasonable cost of rectifying the defects up to a limit of the original price.

What is the policy term?

We are pleased to offer you a 10 year guarantee on our products and workmanship, and the insurance policy runs for the same period.

Who protects me?

The insurance is underwritten by Guarantee Protection Insurance Limited who specialise in this type of insurance and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
